April Release - 04/05/2010

This release of RxNorm is consistent with the 2009AB UMLS Metathesaurus release. For additional information about RxNorm releases, including scripts for loading the RxNorm data into Oracle and MySQL databases, read the RxNorm Documentation.

Data Changes

A change has been made to SAB="RXNORM" normal forms that include "thyroxine" in their names. "Thyroxine" has been replaced with "levothyroxine sodium" in these normal forms. An example of this transformation is the SBD, "Thyroxine 0.05 MG Oral Tablet [Synthroid]" (RXCUI 311301), which has been changed to "Levothyroxine Sodium 0.05 MG Oral Tablet [Synthroid]" (RXCUI 966247).
