Abstract

The simulation of heart electrical activity has a long history; several are the models developed to study this complex phenomenon. Different are also the methods used to present the results of the simulation. This project has been developed at the Chair of Medical Informatics of the "Politecnico di Milano", Italy; it aims at the visualization of the on going widespreading of the heart electrical activity within the entire heart volume. The work emphasizes the spatial and temporal characteristics of this phenomenon. Simulation is based on truly real data, deduced from the Visible Human Dataset.

Keywords: Computer Aided Visualization, Bioelectric Phenomena, Volume Visualization, Anatomical Data, Heart Electrical Activity, Spatial-Temporal phenomenon.
