RESOURCES
Against the Odds presents the following instructional resources for middle- and high-school students and educators. Use them to discover stories of people and places featured in the exhibition. And explore how you, too, can Get Involved in improving health for all.
Against the Odds opened at the National Library of Medicine on April 16, 2008. The launch was accompanied by a program for high school students from Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, in which speakers whose accomplishments are highlighted in the exhibition gave inspirational talks about how they are making a difference. Check out this series of 5 podcasts to hear them, released in January 2009 in conjunction with the month's focus on Careers in Global Health.
