Of the many threats to the health of Chinese children, tuberculosis (TB) was one of them. This poster series, made around 1960 by the Shanghai Municipal Tuberculosis Center Prevention Office, teaches and promotes health hygiene habits for children to prevent getting sick and spreading TB. As family planning campaigns at the time encouraged two-child households, these posters feature two children, one boy and one girl.
