1984: Indian Health Care Improvement Act vetoed by President Reagan
Although Congress reauthorizes the Indian Health Care Improvement Act, President Ronald Reagan vetoes it. Congress extends some provisions of the act in the Interior Department appropriations bill passed in the next session.
