1975: Native American medical students organize

The Association of Native American Medical Students, an organization representing Native American graduate students in health care professions throughout the U.S. and Canada, is founded. Its members are enrolled in schools of medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, optometry, podiatry, and pharmacy.
