2000: Native Hawaiian cancer network established

Papa Ola Lokahi, a nonprofit organization for Native health care planning, launches ‘Imi Hale, the Native Hawaiian Cancer Awareness, Research & Training Network. This community-based network collaborates with key local, state, national, and international partners to reduce cancer incidence and mortality among Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders.
