Since the early 1990s and the establishment of the National Information Center on Health Services Research and Health Care Technology (NICHSR), the National Library of Medicine (NLM) has taken steps to ensure that its general activities and its core collections of journals, journal articles, and books and manuscripts reflect the current state of health services research. Additionally, NLM has developed specialized tools, resources, and activities targeted toward the health services research community. These specialized resources were designed to address challenges in accessing certain information understood to be needed by the health services research community: the academics, clinicians and other health professionals engaged in conducting, disseminating, or implementing health services research, including the public health workforce.
This webinar will explore the critical issues that are driving the information needs of health services researchers. Specifically, the discussion will focus on these three strategic questions:
