SNOMED CT ROA and Nursing Problem List Subsets Updated and Available For Download. NLM Tech Bull. 2015 Mar-Apr;(403):b3.
Two SNOMED CT subsets have been updated and are available for download.
The SNOMED CT Route of Administration Subset (ROA) is a list of terms related to the location of administration for clinical therapeutics. The purpose of the ROA is to define SNOMED CT concepts which can be used in the Drug Listing section of Structured Product Labeling (SPL), or for documentation and encoding of clinical information regarding substance administrations. This subset version has been derived from the March 2015 US Edition of SNOMED CT.
The Nursing Problem List Subset of SNOMED CT is intended for use in patient problem lists, and is an output of the Metathesaurus that is based on nursing diagnosis concepts found within the Metathesaurus. The main purpose of the subset is to facilitate the use of SNOMED CT as the primary coding terminology for nursing problems used in care planning, problem lists or other summary level clinical documentation. This version has been derived from the March 2014 US Edition of SNOMED CT and 2014AA UMLS Metathesaurus.
