The April 2019 full monthly release of RxNorm is available for download as of Monday, April 1, 2019, from the RxNorm Files page and includes a new Qualitative Distinction modifier "20/80 Release." Qualitative Distinction (QD) modifiers allow flexibility in the RxNorm model to create a new RxNorm Concept Unique Identifier (RXCUI) when needed.
A new "20/80 Release" QD is included to distinguish certain extended release methylphenidate products.
The April 2019 release includes new QDs for the following active concepts:
