The National Library of Medicine (NLM) is pleased to announce a new SNOMED CT International General Practitioner/Family Practice Reference Sets and SNOMED CT to ICPC2 Map is now available for download.
The SNOMED CT International General/Family Practice subset (GP/FP Subset) and map from the GP/FP Subset to the International Classification of Primary Care (ICPC-2) release is the resulting work from the harmonization agreement between the International Health Terminology Standards Development Organisation (IHTSDO) and the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA). Access to the SNOMED CT to ICPC-2 map is provided through a collaboration agreement between WONCA and IHTSDO. Users of the map must comply with the licensing agreements of both ICPC-2 and SNOMED CT. The version of SNOMED CT used is the January 2019 International Edition release. The map is based on ICPC-2e-v.4.2 May 2012.
NOTICE: SNOMED International and WONCA have put forth a proposal to deprecate the SNOMED CT to ICPC-2 map after this January 2019 release. SNOMED International will soon be pushing this through the formal deprecation process. Please contact info@snomed.org with any questions, comments, or concerns.
To download the release, you must have a UMLS Terminology Services login and agree to the UMLS Metathesaurus License. To learn more about the license and to sign up for an account, please see the SNOMED CT License page for additional information. Any inquiries may be sent to the NLM Support Center.
