MLA/NLM Joint Electronic Personal Health Records Task Force
- An informal survey identified roles that librarians play in the development or use of PHRs, including:
- Assisting patients in registering for PHRs
- Training employees in the use of PHRs
- Teaching about PHRs in academic courses
- Implementing patient portals
- Evaluating and selecting consumer health content for PHRs

Negotiations underway with Personalized Health Record (PHR) vendors to include the following text in their tools for consumers:
