Active Release – 2017AA Release
The full release of the UMLS Metathesaurus includes all of the vocabularies listed in Appendix 1 of the license agreement.
The active release is a subset of the full release, which only includes vocabularies that are actively updated in the Metathesaurus. The main purposes of the active release are to:
- Reduce file size for download;
- Decrease MetamorphoSys processing time; and
- Provide easier access to current Metathesaurus content.
