Conclusions
We have presented a unified approach to color texture
mapping from the Visible Human dataset to CT gray-scale images. All steps
of texture processing, since segmenation through resampling, must be synchronized
to recover information of poor contrast in the CT dataset. Probabilistic
segmentation is the key to this synchronization. Furthermore, we also considered
the composition between textures, based on the percentages of the mixed
materials), for volume rendering purposes.
