Results and Conclusion
A prototype database was developed to evaluate the systems storage and
retrieval modules. To test the VHI files format a file manager, and a visualization
module were developed. The file manager processes downloaded files within
a web client, and uses internal file data to support file processing and
image display. The visualization module extracts image data from the volume
of interest file format to render surface and volume 3Dimages. Preliminary
tests have shown the VHIF design file to be a functional format for retrieving
and processing large files of anatomical images and data.
