Updated COVID-19 Provisional Codes in VSAC (LOINC)

The National Library of Medicine (NLM) Value Set Authority Center (VSAC) has updated VSAC with the most recent provisional terminology codes published by LOINC®, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

These pre-release special use provisional codes were developed by LOINC to streamline the public health response to the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the COVID-19 disease, and they are based on the most up to date information available at the time of their creation.


Value set authors who create COVID-19 related value sets can Contact NLM to request their COVID-19 value sets be included in a prefiltered VSAC search.
