带孩子要有规律 (To have good routine for the child: Soviet influence in China), Ministry of Health Publicity Department, Propaganda Office, and Hygiene Education Equipment Manufacturing Institute, 1954

This poster includes scenes of childcare to promote Soviet routines in caring for infants and young children such as scheduling times for babies to eat and sleep, encouraging tidiness and a sense of autonomy, hand washing, using utensils, and teaching children to undress themselves.

About the Collection

As part of early Chinese family planning campaigns, some aspects of childcare from the Soviet Union were introduced into Chinese society, as shown in this two-poster series made in 1954.
