Results and Discussion

    The anatomy of the pelvis and perineum is presented to the first year medical students in a series of five lectures.  These include: Lecture I. Introduction to the Pelvis and Perineum; Lecture II. The Male Perineum; Lecture III. The Male Pelvis; Lecture IV. The Female Pelvis; and Lecture V. The Female Perineum.   We have retained this organization in the development of our "Interactive Pelvic Anatomy Lesson" and have developed tutorials that will be used to illustrate important points in all lectures.  We have focused on the Male Visible Human data to generate three-dimensional visualizations of the pelvic and perineal anatomy, in the future we will  develop similar tutorials using images obtained from the Visible Female.
