Primer-BLAST Results

Results

Primer-BLAST provides a graphical overview that shows where the primers bind on the template. If you use an NCBI Reference Sequence the graphic shows biological features on the template such as the exon structure shown here.

The report itself shows a report for each of the primer pairs, 10 pairs by default, with the predicted binding location, product size, and selected thermodynamic and specifity statisics. It also shows any potentially unintended products in the chosen database.

Retrieving Recent Results

Notice that you can retrieve recent Primer-BLAST results if you have the job ID. Just click the "Retrieve recent results" link on the result or submission page. Enter the job ID into the form. Job IDs for Primer-BLAST expire in about 24 hours. We will provide you a list of today's job IDs for the examples.
