Corporate Names

  • MeSH does contain some corporate names as part of its vocabulary

  • Catalogers generally do not use corporate names found in MeSH but use the name as established in the National Authority File
    • The MeSH descriptor is annotated "CATALOGER: Use NAF entry" to indicate the MeSH heading should not be used

  • For works that discuss a corporate entity, assign the appropriate NAF heading for that corporate name using the MARC 610/651 tag
