Conference Names
- For personally authored or edited works about a conference, assign the heading for the conference name using the MARC 610 or 611 tag as appropriate according to the NAF
- Also assign the MeSH descriptor Congresses as Topic
- Do not also assign the publication characteristic Congresses
- Actual proceedings of a conference are not assigned a subject heading for the name of the conference. Record the conference name in a MARC 1XX or 7XX field as appropriate and assign the publication characteristic of Congresses
