Pharmacology laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania, 1920s

Medical students work intently on their experiments in the pharmacology lab at the University of Pennsylvania Medical School. By the 1920s, medical educators emphasized a new focus on “hands on” science and rigorous demonstration and thus drastically overhauled American medical education.
